(Compliant with GDPR and professional practice standards)

Therapist: Nathalie Crittenden-Lopis from Your Therapy and Wellbeing (yourtherapyandwellbeing.com)
Client: ___________________________________

By booking an appointment, you (the Client) agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Please read this document carefully before signing. If you are unable or unwilling to accept these terms, please do not proceed with booking therapy services.

1. GDPR and Data Protection

  • In compliance with GDPR, no client data will be collected until a deposit, session, or therapy program has been paid for. This ensures unnecessary information is not gathered.

  • Personal data is processed, stored, and retained in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the website.

  • By booking an appointment, you signify acceptance of the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not book an appointment.

  • The Privacy Policy may change without notice; clients are advised to check the website regularly.

2. Free Discovery Call

  • A free 20–30 minute online consultation is offered.

  • No therapy is provided during this consultation.

  • The purpose is to assess suitability, compatibility, and therapeutic fit.

  • Any indication of required sessions is approximate and subject to change.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Responsibility: Clients are responsible for paying fees before each session to confirm the booking. Invoices specify payment dates.

  • Online Sessions: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Full payment must be made at least 48 hours prior to the session. Failure to pay will result in cancellation and the slot may be offered to another client.

  • In-Person Sessions: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at booking. The balance must be paid at least 72 hours before the first session.

  • Cancellations: No refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of an in-person session or within 24 hours of an online session.

  • Packages/Programs: Discount on the packages are offered when the payment is made in full ahead of the sessions.

  • Should therapy be discontinued early, a pro-rata refund will be calculated after deducting standard session fees that would apply, and preparation time already provided.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations must be notified via phone or email at least 48 hours in advance (in-person sessions) or 24 hours in advance (online sessions).

  • Sessions cancelled late are fully payable.

  • If two late cancellations occur, no refund or rescheduling will be offered.

5. Refunds

  • No refunds are given for cancellations within the specified period.

  • Refunds are not given for attended and completed sessions.

  • Refunds may be offered at the therapist’s discretion, but are not guaranteed.

6. Session Fees and Payment Methods

  • All professional fees will be disclosed in advance and in writing.

  • Fees are subject to review and may change but will always be confirmed before booking.

  • Payment is accepted online via the website or by bank transfer. I regret that I can not accept cash nor bank cheques, as I use internet banking.

  • Packages are available at a reduced rate. This reduction is only applicable when that package is paid for in full before any session takes place.

7. Contact Between Sessions

  • Contact is by telephone, email, or letter during office hours only (Saturday–Monday, 11:00–20:00, Tuesday – Friday 17.30-21.00. Those times are UK).

  • Messages received outside these times will be handled in office hours.

  • Additional support (anxiety/crisis care, aftercare, therapeutic add-ons) is available but charged separately.

  • Support time outside contracted sessions is limited as per the price list. If exceeded, additional fees may be required.

8. Medical and Psychological Conditions

  • Clients must fully disclose their medical history.

  • Clients must update the therapist of any medical or mental health changes during therapy or upon return after absence.

  • If under care of a GP, psychiatrist, or healthcare professional, consent may be required before therapy begins.

  • Services cannot be provided to clients with epilepsy or psychotic disorders, unless under the supervision of a psychiatrist such as Dr. N (NHS psychiatrist, RTT-trained, available for referral and evaluation).

9. Age Restrictions

  • Clients must be 18+ for online sessions (unless supervised by parent/guardian or with written consent).

  • Clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for in-person sessions. Should the teenager state that they would prefer a session alone, the session will be video recorded on two separate devices with a clock, and a parent will verify afterwards this is correct timings etc. The parent will send a written message to state that the recording is correct and acknowledge that it could not have been tampered with before Nathalie leaves. The recording will be kept according to GDPR rules, as evidence.

10. Attendance and Punctuality

  • Clients must attend at the agreed time.

  • Late arrival may shorten the session without adjustment to fees.

11. Hypnotherapy Recordings

  • Recordings must never be used while driving or operating machinery.

  • They are for personal use only, and totally personalised. They may not be copied, shared, lent, or sold.

12. Outcomes of Therapy

  • No guarantee is made regarding the resolution of presenting issues.

  • The therapist will use best efforts, skills, and professional practice to help clients work toward their goals.

13. Standards of Behaviour

  • Mutual respect is required at all times.

  • Clients must not attend sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs (except prescribed medication, or agreed beforehand).

  • Aggressive, abusive, or unsafe behaviour will result in immediate session termination and refusal of further services without refund.

14. Confidentiality

All records, communications, and sessions are confidential, except in the following cases:

a. Where the client consents.

b. Where disclosure is required by law.

c. Where harm to self or others is likely.

d. In cases of crime, fraud, or safeguarding concerns involving minors or vulnerable persons.

e. Where a GP or healthcare professional requires a report (a copy will be provided to the client).

15. Liability and Indemnity

  • The therapist is not liable for damages (direct, indirect, or consequential) arising from services provided.

  • The client indemnifies the therapist against claims, damages, or legal expenses resulting from their participation in therapy.

16. Governing Law

  • This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the English courts.

17. Complaints

  • Complaints should be raised directly with the therapist, who will endeavour to resolve matters promptly and professionally.

18. Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®) and Hypnotherapy Conditions

  • RTT® is delivered using the Marisa Peer Method Rapid Transformational Therapy.

  • Other hypnotherapy methods may also be used, as trained with Paul McKenna, Richard Bandler, and others, however RTT® sessions will be purely RTT®.

  • Hypnosis is natural, safe, and relaxing. The client remains in control throughout.

  • Hypnosis may involve reviewing childhood memories to identify root causes of beliefs and behaviours.

  • Success requires client motivation and willingness to change.

  • Hypnosis is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Clients must not alter prescribed medication without medical approval. Nathalie is not a replacement for medical treatment, or advice.

  • The therapist may terminate sessions immediately if misuse is suspected, with fees still payable.

  • A backup phone number and emergency contact must be provided.
